Case status: active. On September 9, 2026 the court adopted its August 31 tentative decision as its final Decision, overturning the approval, and ordered the City of Imperial to prepare the judgment and writ within 10 days; the order notes that objections to the tentative decision were not considered (deemed waived under Rule of Court 3.1590). As of September 25, 2026 the parties are exchanging objections to the proposed judgment and writ (real parties' objection September 18; further objection September 24). No judgment has been entered and no appeal appears on the docket as of September 25, 2026.
